This means that hair doesn’t start to flap if there’s a bit of moisture in the air, as there often is in US. However, if there’s a torrential downpour, the co-polymers and other polymers can’t protect your hair – you’ll end up with wet hair like everyone else.
Hair and scalp care should be the focus of a volume spray
Healthy and well-groomed hair gives a natural fullness and volume and therefore it is with aiming for the greatest possible hair health.
You can do this by taking hair vitamins or using a good hair serum and generally choosing good quality hair products that suit your hair type and condition. But you should also choose a volume spray that contains a lot of conditioning ingredients.

How to use volume spray
There are two types of volume spray, those for damp hair and those for dry hair. Volume spray for damp hair, however, is the most popular and best-selling and the one I’m basing my review on here.
- Wash your hair in a shampoo that gives extra volume to the hair. Avoid heavy shampoos with too much oil.
- If you use a conditioner or hair treatment, use the products only on the lengths and ends of your hair but avoid the scalp.
- Apply the volumising spray to damp hair, making sure to distribute the product on the scalp. If you have long or thick hair, you can divide it into sections.
- Now blow dry your hair, preferably upside down, until it is almost dry.
- It is important that you dry the hair completely dry, as the hair will start to slap if it still contains moisture.
- For extra volume, blow dry your hair with a round brush and finish by giving your hair a coat of hairspray.
