How to do a waxing with wax beads
When you’re going to do a waxing treatment at home, it’s important to make sure you prepare well. Both so that you have the things you need within reach but also that you prepare your skin for the fact that it will be waxed.
Most importantly, ALL hair should be at least 3 – 5 mm long before you wax it.
If you try to grow shorter hair, the wax won’t get a good grip and you’ll get a bad result.
You also need to make sure your skin is healthy before you start. This means that there are no cuts or scratches in the skin, eczema or skin irritations that could be aggravated by the waxing treatment.
You can prepare your skin by giving it a body scrub a few days before the treatment to remove dead skin cells.

How to use a wax warmer and wax beads
- Start by connecting the wax heater to a socket and find an appropriate amount of wax beads.
- Put the wax beads in the wax pot and turn the temperature up high while the wax beads melt.
- When the wax beads are melted, turn down the heat.
- Let the wax stand until it reaches the temperature of between 38 and 40 degrees. You can follow the temperature on the thermostat on the wax heater, but you should also always test the heat with a small spot of wax on your wrist first.
- When spreading the wax on the skin, use a wood trowel.
- Spread a thin layer of wax in the direction of the hair on a piece of skin measuring 5 x 15 cm.
- Let the wax dry. It doesn’t take very long.
- Then tear the wax off with the hair. It’s important that you do a quick tear rather than pulling the wax off. The faster you can tear it off – the less you’ll feel it.
- Repeat the treatment until all unwanted hair growth is removed and remember to lubricate the skin with a soothing and cleansing cream afterwards.
Hair removal with wax results in fewer and finer hairs in the long term
Although hair removal with wax is not a permanent hair removal method, it is a bit in the long run. In fact, repeated hair removal with wax, where all the hair is pulled out, has been shown to sometimes succeed in killing the hair follicle completely. This means that over time you’ll get more spartan unwanted hair growth.
At the same time, the hair that grows back has also been shown to become finer and lighter over time. So while waxing isn’t the way to go if you want permanent hair removal, there are extra little bonuses in the long run to using wax beads and a wax heater as a hair removal method.
Alternatives to a wax heater and wax beads

Ladyshaver – A Ladyshaver is a razor developed specifically for shaving legs, underarms and intimate areas. It provides a close shave and has a round shaving head for easy access.
But the hairs are simply cut over and will grow back out in a few days.

How to clean your waxer
